Whether it be online, by friends, or via these blog posts, I had heard a lot about A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. So for the longest time, I wanted to read it. So during our English finals period, I checked it out from the library. As I read it one night over winter break, I kept trying to put it down, but I kept wanting to know what happened next. When I finally finished it, I kid you not, it was like 3 am and I was still staring at the wall processing what I had just read.
A Good Girlās Guide to Murder, by Holly Jackson, is a mystery crime debut novel following the main character, Pip. It was no secret that Sal Singh had allegedly, as Pip emphasizes, killed his girlfriend, Andie Bell. Everyone heard of that and went along with it, but Pip wasnāt buying it. She knew there was something off about the case⦠She didnāt believe Sal killed Andie and she was going to prove it, so she used her senior capstone project to try to re-examine the case in attempts to prove Salās innocence. The very first person she reaches out to is Ravi: Salās brother, and together, they investigate the crime and write all their findings down in Pipās log. As Pip gets deeper into discovering secrets, she starts to get anonymous notes: threats, telling her she has gone too far and needs to stop or else something bad would happen.
Thatās as far as Iāll go because I donāt want to give any spoilers, but this is such a thrilling book, I loved it so much. You get to solve the case alongside Pip as if you were there with her. It is such an interesting case to follow, every piece of the puzzle that at first was in a tangly confusing mess makes satisfying yet shocking sense at the end. Iād definitely recommend this book to everyone. I give A Good Girlās Guide to Murder a 100/10. Recently, a show has been made on Netflix, so Iāll have to check it out!
This murder mystery looks interesting, I'll go check out the tv show.

DeleteI totally understand the feeling of not being able to put the book down, especially the stare-at-the-wall moments. Some books have the craziest moments like that, and it's great you were able to find one as notable as this one! You make it sound like a thrilling book, and I'll definitely have to check out the show. Quite the title there
